Who Am I & Why Did I Start A Blog?

If you didn’t start by reading my “About” tab, my name’s Cassie, and I am a 27 year-old “twenty something”. I’m probably a lot like you.

By day, I am an Accountant. However, I consider myself much more than that. I like to create- art, music, screenwriting, and now blogging. I don’t consider myself an expert in any of these areas by a long shot, but they bring me joy and make me continue to feel inspired every day.

For me, the best part about creating is connecting with others. For a long time, I was hesitant to share my creative side with others because of how vulnerable it made me feel. However, how many times have you heard a song and thought to yourself, “Wow, how did this person put into words exactly how I am feeling?”. This shows that we all have so many of the same struggles and feelings, and we can learn by these shared experiences. I am an extremely empathetic person with a passion for storytelling, and I truly believe everyone can learn from each other, especially if they can understand what it’s like to be in someone else’s shoes.

“Okay, that’s great, but what exactly are you going to be writing about in the blog?”

For the past few years, I have been on a “journey” to find where I fit in in this world. What has helped me the most has been finding various hobbies to fulfill the imaginative side of my brain and writing (in music, screenplays) about my struggles. I would love to share my journey with the world, which will be on-going as we continue to change as humans every year of our lives. After 27 years of life, I am finally at a place where I like myself and have found what brings me joy.

This blog is going to include all sorts of posts on various topics, including the below:

• What has helped me become & stay productive
• Sharing my creative endeavors
• Travel
• Thoughts on my good/bad days alike, since sometimes we don’t remember everyone struggles in their own way
• Thoughts on all different kinds of topics!

As mentioned above, we are always changing as people. Maybe one year from now this blog will become something completely different than what its current intention is.

Overall, my main goal is to connect with others and create a space that is honest and helpful to anyone else out there navigating through life. Always feel free to email me with any post suggestions or thoughts on previous posts- the best way for me to improve is to hear from my audience, and I promise to always listen with an open mind.
